Campus Delivery Service (CDS)
The Libraries deliver faculty materials to the departmental secretaries whenever classes are in session (Monday through Friday, by 3:30 p.m). This includes interlibrary loan materials as well as any lendable items from Miller, Bixler, Olin, or the Storage Facility. If the secretary’s office is closed, items will be delivered the next day.
To have materials delivered to your department secretary, just use the request function in the catalog:
For any questions or if you do not want items delivered, please contact Ana Noriega (Assistant Director for Collections Management) at [email protected]

The Colby Storage Facility is located on Washington Street, 3/4 of a mile from Miller Library. We retrieve books, bound periodicals, microfilm, and maps three times a day, seven days a week during the academic year. Items may be delivered to faculty offices, and students may pick up items at the Miller service desk the next day. Please retrieve your materials within five business days!
Because our collection is stored in Library of Congress (LC) order, you can come and browse the shelves. We have a small office for library staff, where faculty and students are also welcome to sit and examine items. Our delivery service is always a convenient option, should you want items delivered to your library (students) or your office (faculty).
Our hours are:
- Academic year: weekdays from 8am-5pm and weekends from 9am-5pm.
- Summer and all term breaks: weekdays from 8am-4pm.
- Federal and college holidays: the libraries are closed.
To make an appointment, fill out this Request Form and we will email a confirmation. To contact us with further questions, please call 207.873.0028 or email [email protected]
