Along with Bates and Bowdoin, we are excited to announce the upcoming launch of Alma/PrimoVE, our new shared library services platform (LSP), this summer. This transition will enhance collaboration within the CBB library consortium and enable staff to streamline workflows by incorporating the management of all library resources – electronic, digital, and print – into one system.
What does this mean for you? Our current discovery and catalog systems, which you may know as OneSearch and CBBCat, will be merged into a single interface, enabling you to search both print and online collections in one place and providing a better browsing experience. It will also be faster, more mobile-friendly, and include helpful features like citation trails and automatic recommendations. The new interface integrates seamlessly with Alma/PrimoVE and is used by many other academic libraries, such as Harvard, Dartmouth, and Wesleyan.
Our anticipated launch is mid-June, and we’ll share more information over the next few months. Watch the Libraries website and follow us on Instagram @colbycollegelibraries for updates, including links to training and documentation.
In the meantime, please don’t hesitate to contact [email protected] with any questions.
