A mainstay of the financial and economic press, the Financial Times has been in production since 1888. It is widely considered an essential in contextualizing the impact of financial markets around the world. Not without controversy, the paper is known both for its investigative journalism into the German company Wirecard (who admitted to defrauding their customers of over €1.9 billion), the FT was itself a focus of investigation by several news outlets who reported that it is by far the largest media outlets that publish advertisements for the fossil fuel industry.
