Special Collections & Archives
We are open to all. We teach and inspire. We support curiosity and exploration.
In Special Collections & Archives, our mission is to create immersive experiences through discovery and access using our collections of rare books, literary manuscripts, and college archival materials in all formats; acquire and steward unique materials that strengthen the college’s academic program; collaborate with partners on campus and beyond; promote knowledge and understanding of Colby’s origins, programs, and goals; collect and steward institutional records of enduring value; and to actively seek to represent all voices in the greater Colby community.
