Special Collections & Archives combines archival treasures, rare books, and Colby’s historical, scholarly, and creative works with online counterparts accessible to those who cannot visit Miller Library.

Search or browse finding aids and inventories for our unpublished (“manuscript”) collections and materials in our College Archives and Special Collections. We are continually adding collections to ArchivesSpace as we process materials.

College Archives
The College Archives contains materials that comprise the historical records of the College from 1813 to the present. The archives includes a vast amount of materials and records in all formats, including administrative and curricular policy documents, information on student life and customs, and other materials documenting Colby’s story.

Special Collections Rare Books and Manuscripts
Special Collections is the repository for Colby’s rare books and significant unpublished materials, including literary manuscripts, and personal papers.

Colby Echo Digital Archive
